Version 3.0 (Unreleased)
The following enhancements have been made in this version...
Undo/Redo Support - All Platforms
The ability to Undo and Redo Image Effects has been added.
Multiple Views - All Platforms
You may now view the Compressed Preview Side-By-Side with the Original Photo, or just the Compressed Preview or Original Photo on it's own. This should allow for better comparison of the photo quality and compression preview.
The Side-by-Side view also supports the ability to Drag either the Original or Preview Image to any program that supports Drag & Drop operations.
Improved Memory and Disk Utilization - All Platforms
The active image, when closed, will now purge itself from memory and remove any remaining temporary files. This should help release memory to other programs and keep disk utilization to a minimum.
Added "Original Image Size" to the Presets - All Platforms
When chosen, a image will be set to it's original size. The option "Do Not Resize" will result in the preset being applied without a change in the image's current dimensions.
The following bugs have been resolved in this version...
Dropped File Extensions - All Platforms
Fixed an issue where files dragged from JPEGCompress would keep their original file type extension (Example: .gif) instead of a JPEG extension.
Incorrect Image Formats in Batch Processing Wizard - All Platforms
Fixed an issue where the Batch Processing Wizard would use the wrong compression methods for output images, resulting in all images being JPEG files. This bug fix also resolved memory utilization issues.
Incorrect QuickTime Conversions - Windows and Macintosh
Fixed an issue where files saved utilizing QuickTime as the Compressor would result in JPEG files.
Removed "PixMap" Messages during File Conversion - All Platforms
Fixed an issue where a dialog box would appear and complain of a PixMap error, and successful conversion. These messages have been removed.
Save Options During Drag & Drop Operations - All Platforms
Fixed an issue where the Save Changes dialog box would not appear when dropping images onto the JPEGCompress window.
Check for Updates Preference - All Platforms
Fixed an issue where the Check for Updates Preference would not accurately reflect the status of update checks.
Paste Image - Macintosh
Fixed an issue where the ability to Paste a photo into JPEGCompress was disable on the Macintosh.
Replace File Warning - All Platforms
